post-workout grooming essentials

The best feeling is after you’ve smashed out a hard workout. What do you do after that though? I love to spend a good amount of time in the shower pampering myself, and then creating an amazing post workout smoothie or snack. There is something so Zen about taking some time for yourself right after a workout. I feel like I’ve accomplished something and It makes my day complete.

What’s amazing is that I also try to use products that are as pure as possible. They have a very short list of effective ingredients. Check out my post-workout grooming essentials below – some products I have and some I would love to get my hands on to try!

Hydrating Spray

This is amazing right after a workout to just spritz all over your face. mmmm.. rose + coconut, what could be a better combo?

Dry Brush

I’ve talked about this before and there is nothing like brushing your body down after an invigorating workout. So many benefits to this ritual.

Natural Deodorant

Umm… I think this is a given?! Try out some natural options such as this meow meow tweet in tea tree. How amazing is that brand name?

Shower Gel

I have found the best combo shampoos. I use peppermint if I workout in the morning, so it wakes me up and gives me that little boost I need to continue with my day. As for evening post workouts I use either lavender to calm my mind and to slowly switch off for the night. Dr. Bronner’s is amazing, and Whole Foods had a 2 for 1 sale the last time I was in London! Score.

Epsom salts

Have time for a bath post workout? Epsom salts helps you de-stress, relieves pain and muscle cramps and eliminates toxins from the body. This one is from Little Barn Apothecary. I LOVE the packaging. I’m a sucker for good packaging.

Muscle gel

All natural muscle gel – for when your coach really kicks your butt. This one is enriched with Rosemary, Black Pepper and Ginger. It also contains Lavender to relax both mind and body.

I would love to know your post-workout grooming essentials! Do you have any amazing products? Tell me in the comments sections below.
